Fiesta Day (a traditional street festival) is a tribute to the Cuban, Italian, German, Jewish, African and Spanish immigrants that came to Ybor City back in the late 1800's. It's a great way to celebrate the Latin cusine, culture, heritage, etc. that shapes the current culture of Tampa Bay.
As the Cuban cigar factories were booming, these immigrants settled in the Ybor City district of Tampa. Ybor City Day, as it was known, originally began as a day of rest for the cigar workers of the district.
They expect about 15,000 people to attend the event.

Victor Manuelle helped raise over $80K
This is a video from the Victor Manuelle concert this past Sunday evening in Tampa. This fundraiser brought in $80,395 in conjunction with 92.5 La Maxima FM during a show at the Ritz Theatre in Ybor City.
Proceeds benefit the St. Jude Children's Hospital in their fight against pediatric cancer.

Victor Manuelle, Salsa performer, in Tampa, Ybor City
Victor Manuelle, salsero and sonero singer from Puerto Rico, will be performing at the first Concierto de Esperanza (Concert of Hope) at The RITZ Ybor in Ybor City to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The date for this event will be Sunday, December 11
Tickets for the concert are $25 and may be purchased at www.925MAXIMA.com or The RITZ Ybor Box office located at 1503 East 7th Avenue.

The Latin Rhythms' Tropical Social will be held in the Fernando R. Mesa Ballroom at the historic Cuban Club of Ybor City. The ballroom features a hardwood floor (with plenty of space to dance) and a full- liquor cash bar (with inexpensive drink prices).
Secure and covered parking available (adjacent to the Cuban Club) in the Palm Avenue garage (located at the corner of 13th St. & Palm Ave.). Be sure to bring your parking ticket with you and show it at the registration table to receive your parking voucher ($6 parking fee is included in admission price).
Music provided by Greg "DJ Muevete" Richardson of B.A.I.L.E.
Latin Rhythms' Tropical Social to benefit the restoration of the Cuban Club. Due to upfront costs, there will be NO refunds for this event. Unused admissions will be forwarded to the next event!

Saturday, Feb 26th, the Fiesta starts at 10am at Centennial Park. Admission is free, and food can be purchased at a reasonable cost. Come out and taste the devil crab rolls, Cuban sandwiches and mojo! There will be an arts marketplace, exhibits and multicultural entertainment from 10am to 6pm.
If you like flan, then the Flan Fest with recipe contest and the infamous flan-eating competition begins at 11 am at Centennial Park. Known as Tampa's Latin Quarter for over a century, Ybor City is an exotic blend of aromas, flavors, sights and sounds.

Fiesta Day returns to Historic Ybor City on Saturday, February 27th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Fiesta Day is Ybor City 's official day of rest and celebration of its magnificent ethnic heritage and culture!
Admission is FREE!
The International Parade of Flags takes place at the Fiesta Day Main Stage, showcasing musical rhythm, ethnic dress and vibrant colors as a beautiful tribute to the cultures it represents.
Fiesta Day also hosts an Arts Marketplace and a variety of Ethnic Foods to please any taste. Fiesta Day and the Ybor City Saturday Market will host Flan Fest in Centennial Park from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
