Good Italian restaurants in Fort Lauderdale

A good friend of mine from Fort Lauderdale recommended these good Italian restaurants:

There are tons of Italian restaurants in Fort Lauderdale but not that many that I would call good.

The ones I know I can trust to be great every time are:

Martorano's: East Oakland park Blvd, Super pricey and long wait. The place is more guido then Italian but the food is so darn great. It's also a place to see and be seen and is a local celebrity favorite. Must try's MEATBALLS, MUSSELS IF THEY HAVE THEM, EGGPLANT STACK, SHRIMP SCAMPI AND OF COURSE ANY OF THE PASTA DISHES!

Cafe de Angelo: Federal Hwy. Also authentic and delicious. Angelo is the owner and chef and the food is always prepared freshly with great ingredients. Although more low key then Martorano's the food is superb. I did have one unpleasant meal there. The osso buco but the Rigatoni alla Bolognese is WOW!

Cafe Vico: Owned by Brazilians that lived in Italy but we will give them a pass because they happen to make excellent risotto.

Gran Il Forno: On las Olas, This is the place for great espresso, wonderful homemade pastries and CIABATTA. It's just as good as any you'll find in Italy. In fact it may be better. They don't have it till 9am but it goes quick! This is a great spot to sit and have a coffee, read the paper and people watch.
