Salsa night in New Port Richey, Friday

Want to let you all know about "Salsa Nights"  every Friday at the Ramada Inn in New Port Richey (5015 US Hwy 19, New Port Richey).  From 9pm-2am. DJ Maxx performing,  he is  very good and  friendly, and will play whatever Latin music you like (salsa,  meringue, bachata, cha-cha, etc)  There's no cover, drinks are reasonable,  nice wood floor and plenty of room to dance.

I went there last Friday,  music was great,  good atmosphere, and we had a

Centro Asturiano, Halloween Edition of Salsa Social, Tampa

Join us and dancers from all over Florida for the Halloween Edition of our monthly social at the Centro Asturiano.  It's an absolutely incredible venue - tons of space to dance, wood floor, ICE COLD A/C, plenty of free parking, and a full bar!  Costumes are not required, but definitely encouraged, and there will be a costume contest with a $50 cash prize!

Ybor City tidbit
Spanish born Vicente Martinez Ybor and Ignacio Haya, 2 cigar makers, started building the first of two cigar factories and casitas (little houses) to attract a workforce from Cuba and Spain.

Earlier that same year (September 1885)
Mr. Ybor purchased 90 acres of swamp land to the northeast of downtown Tampa, now known as Ybor City.
